Confidential: Companeo, specialist in business-to-business intermediation, acquires Webikeo


The start-up founded in 2012 and based in Aix-en-Provence manages a B2B webinar platform that already claims 100,000 participants.

Companeo, a specialist in B2B intermediation and lead generation, has just acquired the start-up Webikeo, founded in 2012 in Aix-en-Provence. The service enables online conferences to be set up and B2B services and products to be promoted. The amount of the transaction is not known.

“We have been interested in the Webinar format for a while now,” says Laurent Horwitz, CEO of Companeo Groupe. It’s efficient and qualitative, and allows us to organize online conferences that are very well suited to B2B. Webikeo’s activity is very complementary to the Companeo marketplace. The acquisition will allow us to organize webinars with Companeo’s current customers, and to work on other markets.”

ROI 5 times higher than trade shows

Webikeo, which employs four people, has already organized more than 1,000 webinars that have been attended by over 100,000 participants. The start-up claims a ROI 5 times higher than trade shows with its online conferences. “The synergies provided by Companeo with its qualified base of more than one million companies, its thousands of BtoB customers and its experience in lead generation will enable us to significantly increase our development and consolidate our leadership as the first entrant in the professional online conference market in France,” says Pierre Henri Tataranno, Webikeo’s CEO.

Companeo offers a marketplace, professional quotes, emailing solutions, catalogues, call centres, B2Baffiliation services and now a webinar platform. The group has already enabled more than one million companies in Europe to connect with one or more of its 5,000 B2B customers. With a team of 180 people, the Companeo group is present in France, Belgium, the UK, the Netherlands and Germany.
