The augmented reality start-up counts Accor Hotels, Coca-Cola Germany, Engie and L’Oréal among its clients.
Augment, a French start-up founded in 2011, has just completed a $4.7 million Series A funding round from US corporate fund Salesforce Ventures and private investors. The start-up had already raised €200,000 in 2013 from business angels, then€1 million in 2014 from private investors.
The virtual reality application, which is available on the Salesforce AppExchange, allows customers from various industries to create 3D simulations of their products in any environment. This provides sales representatives with a sales support tool and enables them to quickly visualize products or displays in stores.
The funds raised will allow Augment to accelerate its international sales, continue to develop its product and make several key recruitments. The company has opened offices in New York and Orlando, USA and claims over 200 customers in 36 countries. AccorHotels, Coca-Cola Germany, Engie and L’Oréal have all joined its customer base in the past year.
