L’Atelier BNP Paribas paints a picture of the French start-up entrepreneur

92% of entrepreneurs are satisfied with their business experience, but 52% suffer from stress.

According to a study conducted by Atelier BNP Paribas and TNS Sofres among 200 entrepreneurs, the French startup entrepreneur is a man (89%), 35 years old on average when he creates his company. Married or in a couple (78%), he has children (61%) and has 11 years of professional experience. 92% of them are satisfied with their entrepreneurial experience, although 52% regret the stress, 42% the lack of time for leisure and 42% the lack of time for family. Furthermore, 57% belong to anentrepreneurial circle or association. The desire for freedom and independence are most often cited as the main reasons for starting a business.
