The online training platform focused on learning programming is launching internationally. It is now available in French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Codecademy, an online training platform for learning computer development techniques, is now available in French. The New York-based start-up that runs this Mooc environment has thus decided to launch itself internationally. In addition to French, it has also chosen Spanish and Portuguese.
To launch its French version, Codecademy, which claims 10 million users worldwide, has signed an agreement with Bibliothèques Sans Frontières. This NGO, which focuses on supporting libraries and access to information and culture in the French-speaking world, has taken charge of the entire translation of the service into French.
As part of this agreement, Codecademy plans to make its technical platform available to Bibliothèques Sans Frontières to launch a humanitarian Mooc project targeting refugee camps and natural or humanitarian disaster zones(IdeasBox).
